Ivytree Nursery
Its philosophy remains the same today as when it opened more than twenty years ago. Ivytree helps to develop confident, happy children with a curiosity for the world around them. Care, play and learning is of the highest quality and suited to the individual needs of the child. Ivytree staff know that children's early, formative years are crucial, and the emotional security and needs of each child are paramount.
Play is at the heart of Ivytree's approach. It's how children learn to communicate and build relationships, and is crucial to their development. Children learn best when they're happiest. Ivytree makes play central to learning, and provides each child with activities that are exciting, appropriate to their age and fun.
The nursery is fully equipped for all types of play. The Ivytree room has a climbing area, water play, a sand pit, a construction area, a book corner, home and cooking areas, and an art corner. The Sycamore room contains jigsaw puzzles, a writing and drawing area, table games, a second book corner and our 'small world' play area. Gym activities, drama and music also feature during the sessions. There are optional French classes.
Outside play is very important to Ivytree. The nursery has a garden where we play as much as possible, and we're close to Bushey Park, which is opposite, and the Holly Road Park behind us.
All Ivytree staff are trained and qualified to a high level in child care and education and are passionately committed to the welfare of the children. We have worked together as a team for many years. Please come and visit us - we would love to show you around!

Dear Everyone
When I first looked around Ivytree the thing that stood out above any other nursery I'd looked at in the area was the staff. You are all so warm, friendly and

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to you all for being so wonderful with our boys - we will miss Ivytree.
With love,
Kate, Matthew, Joe, Alfie & Finn
