At Blank Canvas Dance we are dedicated to teaching the most current styles of dance from Hip Hop to 'Poppin' n Lockin' and Street.

Using Top 40 hits you will learn the latest moves but will also have the opportunity to choreograph your own motifs that are unexpected, imaginative and sure to impress.

Street dance is about creativity, flare, attitude and uniqueness.

We wish to develop your confidence in dance while exploring and fusing your own style.

Our classes are committed to a relaxed atmosphere, which is fun, social and open to dancers of any levels.

Blank Canvas Dance is run by experienced and passionate dancer Jane Robertson, whose vision is to help as many young people as possible discover their potential in dance, get active and creative while having fun.

Jane is a fully qualified P.E. teacher / dance specialist at St Kentigerns Academy and was responsible for introducing 'Intermediate 2' and 'Higher' dance to the school curriculum (where over 60 pupils study dance at a certificated level).

She is also in charge of choreographing the dance show 'Luminosity' which was awarded a West Lothian Stella Award for 'Expressive Arts Team Award' in November 2009 and a St Kentigerns Academy 'Enterprising Award' in December 2009.

In recognition of her major contribution to educational dance, Jane was awarded the prestigious 'Contribution to School Sport' prize by West Lothian Council in December 2009.
