DanceFuzion Dance School
Airdrie, Central Scotland
Ann Donnachie Principal
There are now over 140 pupils.
Classes are taught in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Street, Cheer, Disco, Slowdance & Rock n Roll.
All classes are taught solely by Ann herself, who is very passionate about her school and is constantly striving to make it bigger and better.
She is currently a member of the BATD and is studying towards her Fellowship Ballet and Jazz.
DanceFuzion is a school that is open to all ages and is suitable to both pupils who wish to pursue a career in dance or dance for a hobby.
DanceFuzion is very proud to have dancers who are now dancing professionally abroad and others who are full time dance students.
The highlight of the year for DanceFuzion is the Annual Dance Show.
Ann and all her pupils work so hard towards this and it is always a huge success.
All pupils are encouraged to take part however it is not compulsory.
The show is an excellent performing opportunity and allows parents and friends to see how much the pupils have improved over the year.
And as the show features singing and so many different dance styles it has something for everyone.
Other events include Exams(pupils work towards their exams throughout the year) and after the exams have taken place we have a Medal Presentation Evening where the pupil is presented with their Medals and Certificates.
There is also a performance from each class at the Medal Presentation and this has proved to be another very successful event and very popular with DanceFuzion Dancers.
DanceFuzion is invited every year to perform at the Christmas Light Switch On in Coatbridge Town Centre.
This is another very popular event and is a great performing opportunity and also gets us all in the Christmas spirit.
We also dance in Coatbrdge with Real Radio Roadshows.
This is a great day for all the pupils and again a chance for the parents to see their kids perform.
We also attend Disco & Rock n Roll Competitions three to four times a year and have returned with many trophies from team, solo and pairs sections.
DanceFuzion is a regular attender at Festival4stars and this year we reached the final of the "STAR GROUP SECTION" which we were all delighted about.
Ann herself reached the final of the "DUOS & TRIOS Section" along with her partner Laura.
And they had more success when they reached the final of Idol 08.
Recently DanceFuzion launched a Boys ONLY Street Class which is proving to be very popular.
They will début in our Annual Show in October.
Also launched this year was an over 50s class which is going great.
Again they will make their first début in the show.
Ann is so looking forward to having these classes perform in the show as she really does want to make Dancefuzion a place which is "DANCE FOR ALL"
So if you love dance then DanceFuzion is the place for you.
