Vivace Theatre School have launched an exciting new programme for young dancers.

This fresh and creative approach focuses on building technique, coordination, creativity and confidence and essentially developing a love of dance which will last a lifetime.

Vivace Theatre School is a Glasgow based Youth Arts Academy, providing first class training in Acting, Singing, Dance, Musical Theatre and Early Stages Performance for 3-18 year olds.

We run exciting performing arts term-time courses, summer schools and education projects in nursery, primary and secondary schools throughout Scotland.

Since opening in March 2003, we have quickly established a reputation for quality, value and above all fun.

Our approach to dance as a theatre school differs from dance schools in the emphasis we place on creativity and in our understanding of the overlap between performing arts disciplines.

We have a talented and dedicated staff team on hand to support our dancers, we have training from our acting coaches on characterisation and we have fun workshops from our musical director.

These are the key elements of our unique and forward-thinking dance programme.

At VTS we embrace and enjoy all styles of dance and produce versatile young dancers.

Our classes include Tap, Ballet, Street Jazz, Cheerleading and Freestyle to name but a few.

The focus for each term is agreed by the students and the tutors, linking with our student centred philosophy.

(VTS is not a dance bootcamp! Our aim is to empower our students and we provide regular opportunities for our young people to have their say.)

VTS students are given regular opportunities to transfer their skills from the classroom onto the stage.

We work towards one large scale performance each year that is held in a quality venue in the city.

In addition, all dance students work on the BATD syllabus and are given the option to sit graded exams.

Classes are held at our custom refurbished studios in the heart of Glasgow's shopping district at St Enoch's Square.

The facilities are available for external hire.

Everyone is welcome at VTS.

Don't worry if you have no previous experience, all tuition will be provided by our professional and dedicated tutors.
