Louise Edwards School of Dance

Swansea, South Wales
"The Louise Edwards School of Dance" was set-up in September 2008 by Louise and Peter Edwards and started with just Commercial Jazz and Hip Hop classes on a Saturday.

Since then the school has grown and now holds classes in a variety of different dance styles and offering exams to be taken.

The school offers a high standard of training for all ages allowing students to gain qualifications through the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing), IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) and mutually recognised by the RAD (Royal Academy of Dancing) exam board that are recognised internationally.

This society is globally recognised and can also be studied further in many professional dance colleges.

Our aim is to ensure that student's are given the opportunity to learn a strong foundation with artistic performance quality in any dance style, therefore allowing the student to reach their full potential.

This gives students the foundations to build in confidence, something that they can take with them for the rest of their lives, whether they wish to pursue a career in dance or not.

Pupils have successfully auditioned for various dance colleges on reaching the age of 18 such as Urdang Dance Academy and London Studio Centre.

Student's appear in Swansea's own Grand Theatre in many annual and visiting productions, for example the school has been personally selected to appear in many Stan Stennett productions and selected to perform in Swansea's City Centre.

There is a wide range of classes held with opportunity for students to audition for the local pantomime depending on age and height.

All classes are taught by Louise Edwards, this gives the students familiarity and a personal approach within the school.

I'm sure you will agree that the Louise Edwards School of Dance is unique and why this is the right school for you and your child, and why I am proud to be the Principal.
