Alpine Podiatry Practice
St. Helens, Merseyside
wilde pedique fungal nail treatment
Based in Rainford, we attract patients from Kirkby, Wigan, Billinge, Skelmersdale and Ormskirk.
Alpine Podiatry Practice has been established for five years now and we have an excellent reputation in the local area.
All our practitioners are degree qualified and are HPC Registered - HPC has replaced the old 'State Registered' status but still means that we can work within the NHS and can use the Chiropodist and Podiatrist titles.
Chiropody Treatments
All aspects of chiropody are undertaken at the practice including corn and callus removal, verrucae treatments, fungal nails, nail surgery under local anesthesia for the removal of ingrown or infected nails.
We also now offer a more permanent solution to fungal nail problems with 'Wilde Pedique' - this is a resin treatment with cosmetic and healing properties.
Painful symptoms such as plantarfasciitis, metatarsalgia, shin splints, and other joint pains can be treated successfully with acupuncture, a treatment that we often suggest when others have failed, but we can also assess the foot and gait biomechanically with a view to redistributing the pressure causing the pain.
The development of the bones and joints in our feet are influenced by lifestyle and determined by our genes, and if these cause changes in the foot, the way we walk is affected.
Our gait can be improved by wearing a bespoke orthotic, which aims to prevent us walking 'badly', thereby alleviating the pain.
Whatever the problem, every patient can be guaranteed the best possible advice and treatment.
A professional and friendly service is always offered.
Professional Foot Clinics
Before the first appointment every patient is asked to detail any medical history/medication taken, together with lifestyle information so that we build an appropriate profile enabling us to provide you with the highest standard of foot care.
During this appointment, vascular and neurological tests will be carried out in addition to an overall assessment.
Our aim is to give every customer a relaxing experience during the appointment, so that they look forward to re-visiting our practice for follow up treatment/routine foot care
