Bush House Osteopathic Practice
Monmouth, South Wales
Your spine and joints are a valuable asset to you, an asset that we all tend to take for granted - with care they can last you a lifetime. Our modern practice is located close to the historic market town of Monmouth and the centre of the Forest of Dean, Coleford.
As Registered osteopaths, we use our hands both to investigate the underlying causes of pain and to carry out treatment using a variety of manipulative techniques. These may include muscle and connective tissue stretching, rhythmic joint movements or high velocity thrust techniques to improve the range of movement of a joint.
Gentle releasing techniques are often used, particularly when treating children or elderly patients. We also offer a cranial approach which uses very gentle techniques in which our highly trained sense of touch is used to identify and correct mechanical disturbances and limitations, both in and around the joints of the skull, and throughout the body.
We are also pleased to be able to offer Nemectron Edit electrotherapy, which is particularly useful for treating acute inflammation and swelling that is often associated with acute sprains and strains, sports injuries and their subsequent rehabilitation. Myofascial dry needling and cupping are also performed at the practice.
The use of modern information technology enables us to provide individually tailored exercise regimes in order to optimise body function.
Postural advice is also an important part of our osteopathic philosophy. All of these adjunctive treatment approaches are geared to enhance the efficacy of our osteopathic approach ensuring, where possible, a speedy and long lasting recovery.
