The Chiltern Osteopathic Practice
Amersham Old Town, Buckinghamshire
We treat people of all ages who consult us for a wide variety of conditions in our modern, comfortable treatment rooms.
The practice is open six days a week, including three evenings.
We endeavour to offer you an appointment within 24 hours of your enquiry, and have plenty of easily accessible on-site parking.
We aim to maintain a friendly yet professional Osteopath practice, set in a quiet and relaxing location.
The Chiltern Practice staff are committed to providing the highest standards of osteopathic care and service.
It is each practitioner's intention that, through effective osteopathic treatment, each patient will develop an understanding and awareness of their problem in order to reduce the risk of recurrence or aggravation.
The aim of working with each patient is to obtain the maximum benefit out of a minimum number of treatment sessions.
Osteopathy is a skilled manual therapy that uses a system of examination, diagnosis and treatment to help restore normal function to the body's musculoskeletal system.
Our team of five highly trained and experienced osteopaths offer a broad range of treatments from a structural approach for mechanical-type complaints, through to cranial osteopathy for a gentle, yet similarly effective approach.
Cranial techniques can also be used, especially when treating children or elderly patients.

All osteopaths practising in the UK have completed rigorous training.
Students of osteopathy follow a four or five-year degree course, during which they study anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, nutrition and biomechanics.
In addition they undergo a minimum of 1,000 hours of clinical training.
Qualification generally takes the form of a bachelors degree in osteopathy - a BSc (Hons) , BOst or BOstMed - or a masters degree in osteopathy (MOst).
Paul Mitterhuber graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine London in 1993 and established the Chiltern Osteopathic Practice thereafter.
He returned to the British College of Osteopathic Medicine to lecture on a part time basis for eight years.
Paul is regional communication coordinator for the General Osteopathic Council representing Buckinghamshire and is a member of the British Osteopathic Association.
He is the organiser for the local South Buckinghamshire Osteopathic Group and a member of BBENSCH Osteopathic Society.
The Osteopathic Practice is located in the picturesque village of Hyde Heath; in close proximity of Amersham, Chesham and Great Missenden in Buckinghamshire, but with easy access from Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross, Aylesbury and High Wycombe.
