Little Bears Day Nursery and Pre School has been established since 2002.

We are a 30 place nursery open 51 weeks per year.

Our primary goal is to be the first choice for families requiring professional childcare, providing the highest quality care that is both accessible and affordable.

Your children will be safe, loved and stimulated in an efficient, well maintained and above all homely environment; this creates an atmosphere of happiness and security.

Here at Little Bears we make sure each child id treated as an individual, with equal opportunities.

We see each child as a whole person, not simply as a 2-3 or a 3-5 year old.

Therefore whilst following the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum (EYFS) we will be guided by the individual child, their choices and thirst for knowledge.

We will encourage each child to develop to their full potential.

Over a period of time we will build up a development record that will clearly show a record of achievement which will be completed by nursery staff, parents and children.

The children are not pressurised because learning should be fun, children have absorbent minds, a natural curiosity and lots of enthusiasm for learning and we will help them channel these energies.

We want your child to leave our nursery with confidence and skills to help them meet the challenges that lie ahead in the school system and beyond.

We passionately believe this to be a joint effort between the nursery and parents.

Here at Little Bears we recognise the importance of employing well qualified and experienced staff in order to maintain a high standard of childcare.

We choose our staff carefully ensuring we have a family of friendly, caring and well qualified team members.

We only employ our staff after clearance from the Criminal Records Bureau and all references have been checked.

The safe guarding of our children is paramount.

Little Bears Day Nursery is a small nursery with a big welcome.

It has three owners, two with over 30 years experience in the early years education system.

All three owners are on-site throughout the day as well as at the start and end of the day.

Our outdoor provision covers at least 400 square meters and is totally secure.

We have a baby garden, a toddler garden and a pre school garden, an allotment as well as two patios and an all weather shelter.
