Enjoying a Picnic in the Nursery Garden
Dorchester Community Nursery School (registered charity number 301124) offers high quality pre-school education in a purpose built Nursery with a spacious main hall and a quiet room.

The Nursery is very well equipped with a large selection of stimulating toys and activities.
There is a superb, safe enclosed garden with ride on toys, slide and climbing activities, adventure castle, wendy house, willow tunnel, and vegetable garden.
Our "Outdoor Classroom" enables the children to play outside even on wet days.

We have well qualified, experienced, caring staff, who genuinely enjoy working at the Nursery, enabling us to provide the very best in pre-school nursery education.

The Nursery takes children from around the age of 2 years 6 months up until they start school.
Nursery funding is available from the term after your child's 3rd birthday.

We offer morning sessions for the older children who will be starting school the following September, and afternoon sessions for the younger ones.
We also run a Thursday afternoon Toddler Group during term-time.

Highlights
  • Fantastic Outdoor Space - used by the children (complete with wellies during the winter months) every day, including an outdoor covered area which enables outdoor play even on wet days.
  • Well Qualified Staff - who love their jobs. Both the Head Teacher and Assistant Head have a Level 4 Early Years Childcare Qualification. The third full time staff member has a Level 3 Award.
