Moda Greco
Moda Greco hair salon was founded by Pino "Greco", who first started hairdressing at the age of 12, working for his father. At the age of 15 he headed for the fashion capital of the world, Milan, where he studied at the famous Milan Academy S.A.S.M.A.M which is recognized by the Italian Government for its hairdressing excellence. Here he achieved master of the academy status upon leaving.

In his early twenties after managing an elite salon in Milan, "Greco" brought his salon vision to Leicester in the 1970's, becoming a partner in Capelli's Hair Salon. After a short return to Italy's fashion capital, Greco returned to Leicester to open Greco's Salon above Ainleys record shop, which later became Moda Greco Hair Designers in the early 90's when the salon re-located to it's present home - The Tomas Cook listed building on Gallowtree Gate.

The Academy
In 1995 Moda Greco Hair Designers became a City & Guild's accredited training centre. the academy has two trainers and 5 assessor enabling the salon to offer NVQ levels 1, 2 and 3 in hairdressing. Then last time our academy was accessed by the Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI) we were rated in the top 10% in the United Kingdom. While in 1999 the salon was accredited with the Investors in People Award.

A New Millennium
In early 2004, Moda Greco Hair Designers under went a dramatic interior design makeover. The salon commissioned a Italian salon interior designers vezzozi to design and build Moda Greco a bespoke salon interior. This included frosted moulded glass and chrome cutting sections, remote controlled massaging backwashes and free flowing water features.

Award Winning Hair Service
In recent years Moda Greco has also received industry accolades. In 2005 our salon team won the Kerastase Signature De Service award - beating off the competition of other elite Kerastase salon's in the Midlands and northern England regions. This award was judged by a series of mystery clients, who visited the competition salons and awarded points for client service, salon atmosphere, stylist's knowledge and overall salon experience.

GHD Experts
While in 2006 and 2007 Moda Greco was nominated for the finals of the GHD Expert awards. Moda Greco has a strong association with GHD and we pride ourselves on being the number 1 retailer of GHD strengtheners in the Leicestershire area. We always have GHD's in stock and every year we are one of the largest stockist of Hot Pink GHD stylers' in the country.

Moda Greco also has a strong commitment to the GHD Expert education programme. We regularly send our stylist to the annual GHD Expert Tour and the GHD lifestyle seminars. At these courses our stylist are able to learn the very latest styling techniques and seasonal trends, which they then bring back to the salon to the benefit of there clients.
