Bothwell Castle Golf Club
A flat 18 hole parkland course located in the woodland area surrounding the 13th century Bothwell Castle. It is near the intersection of 3 motorways, ensuring easy access to visitors from central and southern Scotland.
A mature parkland course with a long-standing reputation for excellent greens, Bothwell is a popular course with members and visitors alike, and is challenging for players at all levels.
The building of the new clubhouse with its excellent modern facilities including a balcony with a panoramic view over the course makes it an ideal venue for corporate and smaller group outings. It has excellent catering facilities including a function room and smaller dedicated dining room.
Bothwell Castle Golf Club was officially opened on the 16th of June 1923 by the Earl of Home (father of Prime Minister Sir Alec Douglas Home).

- Opening Times:
During the summer months the clubhouse is open from 7am-11pm everyday. Food is served from 10am until 9:45pm but arrangements can be made outwith these hours. See the Catering section for more details.
- Visitors Info: Bothwell Castle welcomes visiting players and groups. Visitor Tee times Monday to Friday - available 8.00am-7.30pm Saturday & Sunday - members only Advanced booking recommended at all times for May to September.
- Societies Info: We welcome enquiries from society and club group outings of all sizes. Price considerations may be given to larger groups if suitable time is available. All enquiries regarding any outing should be made to the Match Secretary on 01698 801972.

Located near the intersection of 3 motorways (M8,M73 and M74), Bothwell Castle Golf Club is ideally situated for easy access, whether you are travelling from the Stirling area to the north, Edinburgh to the East, Glasgow to the West or the south of Scotland.
If you are travelling by rail, Uddingston Station is just over a mile away.
Travelling from Glasgow (M8) and the north
From the southern end of the M73 (M74 Junction 4) take the SE Glasgow/Uddingston slip road. Turn right at the next mini roundabout then turn right onto the A74/B7071 into Uddingston. Continue through the town. At the 3rd set of traffic lights, turn right into the golf club.
Travelling from Glasgow (South East)
From the M73 take the A74/B7071 turn off into Uddingston. At the 3rd set of traffic lights, turn right into the golf club.
Travelling from Edinburgh and the east
From the A8(M8) take the A725 turn off for East Kilbride. At the roundabout after the M74 junction, take the 2nd exit for Hamilton/Uddingston. At the next mini roundabout turn right for Bothwell. Continue through the village for 1.5 miles, turning left into the golf club at the 2nd set of lights.
Travelling from the south
From the M74 (Junction 5) take the East Kilbride turn off. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit for Hamilton/Uddingston. At the next mini roundabout turn right for Bothwell. Continue through the village for 1.5 miles, turning left into the golf club at the 2nd set of traffic lights.
