Really Good Driving School
All approved driving instructors are periodically assessed by the Driving Standards Agency, who award a grade based on their performance.
Andy Jack (Proprietor) and Douglas Thomson at Really Good Driving School are graded within the top 8% of driving instructors in the UK.
They are both holders of the 'Cardington Special Test Certificate', DSA approved Fleet Driver Trainers and active members of the Motor Schools Association.
Their involvement with pre-driver training programmes in schools means they have considerable experience of teaching young people and have been fully vetted by Disclosure Scotland.
Both are firm believers that educating young learners on the likely costs of learning to drive and owning and maintaining a vehicle helps them develop a responsible attitude at a very impressionable age.
Andy and Douglas began their careers as instructors over two decades ago.
Now, over 2000 passes later, they still maintain the same enthusiasm and passion for delivering quality driving lessons and tuition.
"Every pupil has individual learning needs and every lesson is tailored to match that need. From taking an extremely nervous pupil out on their first ever lesson and helping them gain both skill and confidence, to giving instruction to a newly qualified driver on Motorway safety. I find it a privilege that my work helps people to achieve their goals."

Emma Waine of Glasgow Westend says:
"After failing my test twice with two previous instructors I was a nervous wreck and hated driving! A friend recommended the Really Good Driving School to me. I felt Andy worked very hard to adopt a style of teaching that really worked for me and to get to the root of what I found difficult about driving and my lessons were always conducted in a friendly, patient and professional manner.
Before the test I went out for a couple of lessons with Andy's colleague Douglas. This also really helped as Douglas looked at my driving with 'fresh eyes' allowing me to tweak any little mistakes and also get me used to driving with someone I didn't know in preparation for driving with an examiner. To my delight I passed on the 15/07/10 without any faults - something I thought I would never be able to achieve! Thank you Andy and I would whole heartedly recommend the Really Good Driving School to anyone."
