Centre Stage
Poole, Dorset
As Principal and Artistic Director, I would firstly like to thank you for considering Centre Stage and would like to extend a very warm welcome to you.
As a part-time independent school for dance and performing arts, Centre Stage offers specialist training in RAD Classical Ballet, ISTD Tap Dance and Modern Theatre and Performing Arts (dancing, singing and acting).
Weekly classes cater for all ages and technical abilities, whether as
a chosen platform in preparation for a professional career or for pure enjoyment and fun.
Classes begin at pre-school age and continue through to eighteen years, where students can then choose to graduate into Centre Stage Adults.
With a team of talented industry professionals and qualified teachers, with combined experience which spans over twenty years; the breadth of training one of the highest standards as recognised by the Royal Academy of Dance and Imperial Society of Teachers.
Our ethos is to ensure that each and every child, student, young performer and adult reaches their full potential; in a caring, supportive and encouraging learning environment.
Professional examinations are offered at the school, to offer an
accreditation of students' work and a recognised standard examined by
the Royal Academy of Dance and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance.
Although not compulsory by any means, examinations are perceived to be an enjoyable and rewarding experience for students at the school.
Summer Schools are offered during the summer holidays, offering a
wonderful insight into different genres of dance, drama, singing, crafts and stage make-up.
The school show is viewed as an important part of the school, believed to offer an inspiring platform to perform in a local theatre - an unforgettable experience for all involved and a talking point for years to come.
There really is something for everyone. I do hope you find your time at the school rewarding and look forward to meeting you.
