We believe that learning to dance and participating in Performing Arts should be a joyful, not a tearful, experience.

Children are under so much pressure these days, not only to succeed but also to have and do the right things.

At The D M Academy, we like to remove as much of the stress as possible - for children and parents alike.

We feel it is important that you are kept fully informed, not only about your child's progress, but also with events and happenings within the school and the dance community.

There is no obligation to participate in every event-you can do as much or as little as you wish.

Participants are under no obligation to participate in exams, shows, displays etc., however, The D M Academy is committed to offering exciting dance opportunities for you to experience.

Children of D M Academy have appeared at Sadler's Wells Theatre, London, Disneyland, Paris, Her Majesty's Theatre in the West End, and events closer to home, namely the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford for our annual show.

Some of our youngsters have appeared along side Billy Pearce as the Sunbeams in the Alhambra Theatre's three best selling pantomimes and 43 youngsters have twice taken to the stage of the Royal Albert Hall to appear in "Stars in the Round"

We want children to fall in love with dance and the arts and to anticipate their weekly lessons with excitement.

The discipline required for learning what can be a very demanding undertaking need not take the fun out of it if delivered in the right way.
