Starlight Academy is a new,fresh Performing Arts School that was opened in September 2007.

We have young enthusiastic teachers who are committed to teaching contemporary, up to date classes.

We offer a wide range of classes for all ages and abilities from 2.5 years upwards.

Classes include Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Singing and Solo Tuition to name a few.

Pupils have the chance to showcase their talents in the Academy's twice yearly shows.

Pupils can take examinations with the examination board UKA and compete in competitions and festivals.

Every child is important in the Academy whether they attend one class a week and see performing as a hobby or attend 9 classes and want to go on and make performing their career.

The pupils are encouraged to make new friends whilst attending classes and trips are organised so that all pupils can socialise out of dancing.

Past trips have included a trip to the ballet, soft play and meals out.

Principal Louise Deighton won a 3 year scholarship to attend the famous Italia Conti Stage School in London and is able to prepare students who wish to pursue this avenue.

The Academy offers dance parties, which are a perfect way to celebrate any child's birthday.

There is a choice of either a Ballerina Party or Popstar Party.

Both promise to make the children attending feel like stars.

Parties are available to children whether they are part of the Academy or not.
