Our Chiropractic Clinic at Tollcross in Edinburgh has a long history dating back to 1970 when the original Buchanan Clinic was first opened to the public and was originally an Orthotic clinic. Buchanan's Ltd was started in 1946 by William Currie on his return from the war and the tradition of providing quality health care continues today with the owner of Buchanan Chiropractic Dr Ross Currie, his grandson.

The clinic is easily visible and is situated at 54 Home Street on the ground floor opposite the king's theatre.
From the city centre and North
If coming from the North follow Leith Walk into the city. From the city centre, travel west on Princes Street (A8), until you reach Lothian road (A700). Take a left onto Lothian Road travel 0.5 miles staying in the right hand lane as you travel up the road. Lothian road then turns in to Earl Grey Street. Here you will have a large Royal Bank of Scotland office building on your left. As you pass this building stay in the right hand lane as you approach Toll Cross (cross roads). Stay in the right hand lane and follow the road as it forks right and becomes Home Street. We are situated about 100 meters up on the right hand side just before the Kings Theatre
From South of the city (Bruntsfield, Morningside)
From the city of Edinburgh Bypass, (South) A720, take the A702 exit towards the city centre. Just simply continue on the A702 towards Morningside, Bruntsfield and the City centre for approximately 4 miles.
You will travel through Morningside high street on Morningside Road (A702) which will turn into Bruntsfield Place (A702) as you travel through Bruntsfield High Street. You will then pass a large park on the right (The meadows). The road you are on then turns into Home Street. We are situated on the left hand side opposite the Kings theatre and a large royal bank of Scotland office building.
From west of the city (Haymarket, Corstorphine)
From the city of Edinburgh Bypass (A720) on the west side of the city travel east towards the city centre on the (A8).
From the Edinburgh city bypass travel for 5 miles towards the city centre. Along this road you will pass the Holiday Inn and Edinburgh Zoo on your left. You will also pass Murrayfield rugby stadium on your right as you approach the city. You will then arrive at a set of cross roads where Haymarket train station is situated. At this junction, get into the right hand lane and go straight over. After you have gone through the junction you immediately take the next right, sign posted City Centre. This road is Torphichen Street. Carry on along Torphichen Street for 0.1 miles and follow it round to the right as it becomes Dewar Street.
At the end of Dewar Street you come to a set of traffic lights where you take a left onto Morrison Street. Drive 0.3 miles, passing the Edinburgh conference centre and staying in the right hand lane. You will then approach the junction with Lothian road where you will take a right. At this junction you should see the Odeon cinema on your right.
Continue on Lothian road for another 0.1 miles staying in the right hand lane. Here you will pass a Large Royal Bank of Scotland office block and arrive at Toll Cross (cross roads). Stay in the right hand lane and follow the road as it forks right and becomes Home Street. We are situated about 100 meters up on the right hand side just before the Kings Theatre.
From the East
From The A1 travelling west, take the exit with Duddingston Road West, travelling west towards Duddingston. Drive for approximately half of a mile where there will be a sharp turn in the road. On this bend, on the right hand side is Old Church Lane. Take this road and continue for one mile. You will now have Holyrood Park and Hills on your right hand side as you travel along Old Church Lane. You will then arrive at a small roundabout at the entrance to Holyrood Park. Here take the first exit onto Holyrood Park Road. Travel 0.3 miles to the end of this road and at the traffic lights turn right onto Dalkeith Road (A7), sign posted city centre. As you turn onto Dalkeith road you travel for 0.2 miles and take the left exit immediately after the large Homebase. This road is Bernard Terrace.
Continue on Bernard terrace which eventually becomes Melville Drive as you drive through the large park. Continue for 1 mile until you come to Toll cross (cross roads). Take the second exit at Toll cross onto Home Street. We are situated about 100 meters up on the right hand side just before the Kings Theatre.
Parking
Parking is available on Tarvit Street and Valleyfield Street. Both roads run either side of the Kings Theatre, which is opposite the clinic. Parking is free here for 30 mins. Tarvit Street is assessable as you drive along Brougham Street or Melville Drive. Valley field Street is assessable from Home Street. Please make sure you are parked on the free zone and not the permit zone
For longer stay parking, there is a public car park under the Large Bank of Scotland Corporate Offices at Toll Cross. Toll cross is at the junction of Home street, Brougham Street, Earl Grey Street and Lauriston Place. The entrance to the car park is found on Riego Street that is situated behind the Royal Bank of Scotland off East Fountainbridge, and is a 2 minute walk to the clinic.
There are many other car parks situated close to the clinic, however should you have any problems with parking, please call the clinic and we will be more than happy to help you.
