Peachey Therapy Clinic
Often a Podiatrist can detected conditions such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout and circulatory conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed until the disease has escalated.
There is some confusion as to the difference between chiropody and podiatry.
In reality there is no difference, Podiatry is simply the international term for Chiropody that the profession is now adopting.
Originally from London Judy moved up to Edinburgh to study her degree in Podiatry at Queen Margaret University and is now a Registered Podiatrist with the Health Professions Council.
She is also a member of The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
Judy has had a varied work background.
After setting up a successful spa, where she excelled at providing beauty treatments she then went on to work on a voluntary basis offering health and recreational therapies for the elderly in a nursing and residential home.
This involved Judy working closely with a group of doctors, occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
Judy's interest in feet prompted her to qualify as with ITEC as a Reflexologist in 1999 and most recently she completely her degree in Podiatry in May 2008.
She still finds time to do voluntary work with adults and children and is currently undertaking a post-graduate course in mental health.
