PDSA is the UK's leading veterinary charity, caring for more than 350,000 pet patients belonging to people in need. We provide free veterinary treatment to sick and injured animals and we promote responsible pet ownership.

This year PDSA will provide more than 1.8 million free treatments to sick and injured pets and more than 200,000 preventive treatments.

4,800 volunteers donate their valuable skills and time to PDSA and work mainly in our shops and fundraising groups.

The average cost to PDSA of one course of treatment for a sick or injured pet is £143, although the actual cost of many treatments is far in excess of this figure.

PDSA Chester was opened in November 2008. We sell a wide of new and donated goods. Our new goods range is seasonal while are donated range includes womenswear, menswear, kidswear, linens, bric a brac and records, toys and games.

PDSA, has become the first UK-wide organisation to be awarded the prestigious Investing in Volunteers (IiV) quality standard, after passing a vigorous assessment programme, undertaken by Volunteering England.

Achieving IiV recognises the charity's dual commitment to offer worthwhile volunteering opportunities and to demonstrate good practice in volunteer management.
