The Bythams Cattery is family owned and run by mother and daughter team, June and Victoria.

June having previous experience of managing a cattery together with Victoria who successfully completed the small animal course run by Wood Green Animal Shelter in Cambridgeshire.

Both are trained in administration of medication and injections for diabetic cats.

Cats have been part of the family life for more years then they care to remember.

Currently with five feline family members they know the love and kindness needed on a daily basis to ensure they remain happy and content.

Their knowledge and experience enables them to deliver the complete service as 'Cat Comfort Specialists' for your family member.

We are totally committed to the care of your cat, so you can relax whilst you are away and give your cat a treat.

The Bythams Cattery is a 'cats only' facility, removing the stress placed upon our feline friends who are housed in kennel / cattery establishments.

At The Bythams Cattery your cat can expect a safe, relaxed and comfortable stay in a modern purpose built facility.

They will enjoy well appointed rooms of generous proportions, each fitted with a thermostatically controlled heat lamp to ensure a constant temperature is maintained for your family member.

As the heater warms the whole area and not just the bed, cats can move around comfortably even in the coldest weather.

The Cattery is situated in a quiet rural area which looks out onto interesting and changing views of our peaceful garden, with its fountain water feature and surrounding fields that are frequented by various birds on a daily basis.

The bespoke chalets consist of a 2m enclosed run with integral housing above accessed by a ramp and cat flap (that can be easily removed for guests who are not used to them!)

A full height chalet is available for any elder feline friend that has difficulty in ascending to a penthouse chalet.

Each chalet is further enclosed behind a separate walkway to add extra security and allow guests to access their pets with minimum fuss and no risk of escape.

Our on site security means you can leave your pet with us in complete safety.

The highest standards of hygiene are maintained to ensure your cat's comfort, health and safety.

Disinfectant hand rub dispensers are strategically placed around the passageways to ensure that staff can easily wash hands between handling cats.

Units are cleaned every day during your cat's stay and litter trays are checked, emptied and cleaned frequently.

Separate cleaning tools are kept for each unit.

After a cat has vacated a unit and before the next occupant arrives the unit and all its contents are thoroughly disinfected using a tried and tested procedure.

During your cat's stay everything will be done to make his/her stay happy and comfortable.

Arrival
When you arrive we will first check your vaccination certificate and quickly run through the information you provided on the booking form.

You will also be able to tell us anything else that you wish us to know about your cat.

We will then settle your cat into its accommodation, spending a few minutes while they explore the unit.

Inspections are Welcome.

We welcome and encourage owners to visit The Bythams Cattery and inspect the premises and the facilities before boarding your family pet.
