Miranda Mather
Brighton , East Sussex
Studio Hampton Place
All her dresses are individually designed, fitted and hand finished to ensure a perfect result.
Having a wedding dress made is a very enjoyable experience and a more affordable option than you might think.
At the first appointment Miranda will meet to discuss your initial ideas so it is a good idea to bring along any photo's, drawings, fabrics etc. that inspire you.
Working with your own ideas and pictures Miranda can offer friendly advice on the design and fabrics that best suit you to make your perfect wedding dress.
At the same time you can look through an extensive range of silk fabrics that you may wish to consider to make up your gown in.
Miranda will discuss budget and cost at this time and will give you a quote based on the details discussed.
She usually allows four - six months to make up a wedding dress so there is plenty of time to order fabrics and do all the necessary fittings. However one can always be made within a shorter time frame.
After the initial consultation and you are happy Miranda will make the dress first of all in calico, the toile, to enable her to make the exact shape and style.
It also gives you a good idea of what the final dress will look like.
Once you are completely happy with the design the dress is then made up in the silk.
There are usually three - four more fittings after the toile before the dress is complete.
Miranda offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere working from her studio, a large light room, on the first floor of her Georgian Townhouse in the fashionable Clifton Hill/Montpelier area of Brighton.
Just 10 minutes walk from Brighton Station and the central shopping areas.
Miranda also makes evening wear, bridesmaids, attendants, flowergirls and mother of the bride outfits all at affordable prices but with exceptional attention to detail.
