Orchard Kennels
Loughborough, Leicestershire
Our New Reception opened in April 2009
Our staff are experienced and skilled in caring for dogs, cats, small mammals and birds. Only animal lovers are employed here and we truly love looking after the pets entrusted to us.
All dogs are walked at least twice daily in our 7 acres of orchards and fields. All animal rooms are cleaned and disinfected daily, and pet blankets and toys are washed as needed.
We have a hydrotherapy pool which can benefit dogs that need to lose weight or exercise in the warm water after operations or for other reasons.
Only high quality animal feeds are used for all the animals. Owners can provide their own food if they wish.
Rabbits and guinea pigs can enjoy outdoor runs on our lawns under the shade of the plum trees.
If any animal is unwell whilst it is staying with us, we commit to getting vet treatment straight away, either by calling out the vet to the kennels or by taking the animal to the vet. We have isolation facilities if these are required.
Animals with special needs including medication requirements are not a problem. We are experienced in treating diabetic animals and welcome any animal with special needs.
All dogs and cats are required to be fully vaccinated and dogs must have a kennel cough injection at least 10 days before boarding with us. We will need to see vaccination certificates.
A deposit of 30% is required to secure a booking, with the balance being paid at time of dropping off the pet(s).
Christmas, Easter and School holidays get booked weeks in advance and so early booking of popular times is encouraged. We appreciate at least 48 hours notice of cancellation as we often have waiting lists at very busy times.
