Water Street Gallery
We aim to bring quality art to a wide audience in a friendly and relaxed space, where you can enjoy our featured solo and group exhibitions and events.
Why not visit the gallery and browse for your enjoyment and inspiration, and share in our passion for the art experience.
With emphasis on original paintings from the figurative to fully abstract, complimented by limited edition prints, sculpture and applied arts from ceramics, glass and jewellery, through to photography, film and installations our exhibits are wide reaching, sometimes challenging.
Northern artists Steve Capper, Margaret Shields and Mike Holcroft are represented by their painterly skills, while Ian Taylor's and Rosemary Holcroft's assemblage works are full of wit and intrigue.
Sculptor Edward Cronshaw is resident in Todmorden, renowned for his monumental public work 'The Great Escape' commissioned by Liverpool City Council..
We have introduced many artists new to the area,
David Wiseman, Brendan Stuart Burns and Michael Gustavius Payne as painters.
Billy Adams and Daniel Kavanagh ceramic sculpture.
Martin Andrews and Pat Johnson, glass and enamel works.
Emma-Kate Francis, Sarah Lloyd Jones and Bianca Padidar, jewellery and wearable art.
Please check out our link above for these and additional gallery artists, and our showcase for invited artists

Water Street Gallery is owned and run by two practising artists Mike and Rosemary Holcroft who met at the Royal College of Art, London.
They have immersed themselves in many aspects of the arts and for the past 10 years involved in successfully running and curating galleries and studios in Wales, in addition to exhibiting their own art.
On returning to their northern roots, they purchased the Water Street Gallery and refurbished to a high standard, now building up a rich and diverse stable of artists.
They are now looking forward to serving a wide audience throughout Northern England and beyond.
