Islamic Canvases
Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Title: Allah on Pinks
My aim has always been to represent the spiritual aspect in a modern way so that it creates a great impression in the home as well as containing an age-old Islamic message of importance. I have tried to create Islamic artwork, which I hope reflects on changing times and attitudes.
All the Islamic artwork is produced to the highest quality and in different mediums, which can be discussed with the client. All piece are bespoke and can be produced to the customers specifications and individual wants which will include the size of canvas wanted, specific colors and what type of effect the client is going for, whether it be modern or traditional.
I will also discuss with the client where they would want their picture to be hung, as this will determine which colors I will use for the painting. For example the client may want it to be hang in the lounge, in which case we will discuss the color palette with them to compliment the room. The client is also able to choose what they would like to have written on their canvas in Arabic Calligraphy if anything.
What makes these canvases stand out from the rest is that they are all hand made, modern and all different, nothing is ever repeated twice. Also different types of mediums are used to create an impact for the viewing audience. These will be discussed further with the client; this can either be done via email or over the telephone.
Exhibitions:
I have had done a few exhibitions and am part of the MK Islamic Arts Heritage and Culture Organisation. The aim of this organization is to promote the spirituality of Islam to people of all backgrounds. In August 2007, I was asked to support an exhibition raising awareness of different religions through Art. I contributed a few of my own pieces to the exhibition. The Mayor of Milton Keynes also attended this event.
I held my first exhibition of my artwork at Milton Keynes College in October 2008. Then held my second exhibition at Milton Keynes Hospital in February 2009. This exhibition attempts to educate and spiritually heal patients in the hospital through the medium of art.
Anouar Kassim, Chair of MK Islamic Arts Heritage & Culture, said: "Recent research suggests that social approaches to the arts have the potential to make a major contribution to our health, wellbeing and life skills. The arts can help encourage a greater connectedness to others and help people have a more positive outlook. Islamic Art therapy is based on the belief that the creative process of artistic self-expression helps people to resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, reduce stress and increase self-esteem."
My recent exhibition was held this month, September 2009 at a "fast opening" in Milton Keynes College with it being the month of Ramadan. Many dignitaries attended this event such as the Mayor of Milton Keynes, Thames Valley Police, MP Phyllis Starkey, the Archbishop of Buckinghamshire and many more. I will also keep you updated on any further upcoming exhibitions of my work.
If you are interested in any of the artwork for sale or have any further questions, please do not hesitate to email or call me. If you would like to see more pieces of artwork please request via email. Artwork can either be sent or collected from my premises. Thank you!
